Westfield, Indiana

Westfield was founded on May 6, 1834, by North Carolina Quakers Asa Bales, Ambrose Osborne and Simon Moon. It is believed that the town was planned as a stop on the Underground Railroad with many families of the Religious Society of Friends and the Wesleyan Methodist Church supporting the cause.

When the laws against aiding escaped slaves were made harsher, part of the Westfield Quaker Friends Meeting House split into the Anti-Slavery Friends meeting.

Westfield was incorporated as a town in 1849 and on January 1, 2008, Westfield was incorporated as a city.

I never tire of saying, “Welcome to Westfield!” On behalf of this great city, thank you for choosing this community as your new home. We have grown a lot in the last ten years, but one thing that remains is our commitment to caring. We have great amenities and big plans for the future, but they mean nothing without that sense of care that I am proud to say we have here in Westfield. About Grand Park

Grand Park Sports Campus – official home of Indianapolis Colts Training Camp – is a sports destination like no other. It all started in 2007 with a vision of what could be. Back then, Grand Park was an empty field in central Indiana, in a city looking to build an economy. Today, the 400+ acre sports campus welcomes 2.5 million visitors a year and has helped Westfield attract over $1.5 billion in economic development, including capital investments by Abbott Labs, Aptiv, Bastian Solutions, Gordon Food Service and more.

Future development opportunities are available in adjacent properties and the surrounding area.
